(This may seem petty but, you would hope they would read a complaint before they ask you why you’re complaining.) While I was waiting for the chat support person to respond, I found my way into my account and was able to download from there.Īfter downloading and installing, I attempted to launch version 8. I suggested he look back on what I had already written when I submitted a concern. When the chat agent got online, he asked me what my concern was. In my note to the chat site, I identified my problem in some detail. I then contacted support through their chat service. Guess what, I also got the message that no software was available for download. Sucker that I am, I assume that by clicking the button, my software would download. Then, I got an email confirmation from Avid, that also had a download button. No luck, message said there was no software available for download. Naïvely, I thought I might be able to download by clicking this button. After payment was confirmed a pop-up screen came up with a download button. However, once I did so, the fun really began. The process was anything but easy and reflected others concerns with doing business with Avid.įirst, it was not intuitively easy to find out where to make the discounted purchase on their website. Like many others, concerned about waiting too long to upgrade from 7.5 to version 8, I did not want to delay past the discount point, and pay full price. ![]()
